FISHSNAP KIDS

For grown-ups.

Which age path to choose, what the games keep on the device, and how to think about a real aquarium.

Which age path?

Gentle (ages 4 to 6) gives more time and help, and tags never end a game. Challenge (ages 6 to 10) has tighter timing and smarter chasers. They are starting points, not tests: try the first round together and switch whenever you like.

Who is playing?

Pick an age path. It changes the mode the games open in and nothing else.

BEFORE A REAL FISH COMES HOME

A family project.
A living responsibility.

A game can spark an interest. A real aquarium needs an adult who can provide daily care, a suitable long-term home and a plan for holidays.

    Research the exact species

Adult size, behaviour and water needs come first. A game character or a photograph alone cannot confirm a real fish’s identity.

  2. 02

    Plan and prepare the habitat

Choose suitable equipment. Mature the filter without fish, test the water and check the needs of every planned inhabitant.

Agree the ongoing time, costs and care with an adult. Research responsible suppliers only when the habitat is ready.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few useful answers.

Which play setting should we choose?

Gentle is designed around ages 4–6, with more help and forgiving play. Challenge suits ages 6–10. These are starting points: choose what feels enjoyable for your child, and try the first round together.

Are there ads, purchases or child accounts?

The games contain no ads or purchases and do not ask for a child’s name, email or date of birth. Store browsing and future membership information sit in this parent area. Real purchases and subscription management will require a separate adult flow when available.

Where is game progress saved?

Progress, pictures and play settings stay in this browser on this device. They do not sync to a FishSnap account. Clearing this site’s browser data removes that progress. Read the browser-storage details.

Does completing a game mean we’re ready to keep fish?

No. The games are fictional and the aquarium builder is a practice activity. For a real aquarium, use reliable species information, water tests and adult judgement. Completing a game does not approve stocking or identify a real animal.

How can we make time to play feel good?

Choose a level together and use its finish as a natural stopping point. Try spotting shapes or drawing a favourite fish away from the screen afterwards. Progress waits here until the next visit; there is no daily streak to maintain.

WHAT THE GAMES STORE

Saved on this device only.

The games keep progress and settings in this browser’s local storage. Nothing is sent to FishSnap, and there is no account or child name. Clearing site data removes it. The Legal centre lists each item.
