This fish atlas covers — country areas and — island or locality markers, linking — distinct fish profiles.
The atlas links to recorded native ranges. A highlighted country gives broad geographic context; it does not identify exact collection sites or mean a fish occurs throughout that country. Island and locality markers offer a more specific reference where one is recorded.
Introduced populations, aquarium-bred varieties and uncertain identities need their own context. Read the individual profile for qualifications. Ranges that remain unresolved are left uncoloured; an uncoloured area does not mean no fish live there.
This is a fish atlas. It does not claim complete coverage of plants, coral or other aquatic life. The world map remains fixed: there is no zooming or panning.
