FishSnap began with my nine-year-old son's passion for fish.
His curiosity inspired me to learn how to build something entirely new.
I had never programmed, built an app or created a website. I began anyway. Over the next two years, I spent countless hours learning, testing, rebuilding and solving one problem after another.
There were long days, late nights and many moments when the next step was not obvious—but the reason for doing it never changed. Two years later, that persistence became FishSnap: a place designed to turn curiosity into knowledge, and knowledge into better care.
The more I learned, the more astonishing the aquatic world became. FishSnap shows only a small glimpse of life on this beautifully created Earth. It is humbling to consider how much may still be unseen or undiscovered—and a powerful reminder that the species we do know deserve our curiosity, respect and protection.
